Our History

Patrick and Anita moved to Clayton with their three children in 2001 and quickly fell in love with their new home and its small town feel. They started a small group in their home with a group of Clayton families that would become Covenant Church of Clayton in 2002, a church plant from Covenant Church International.

The Clayton Center

The newly-renovated Clayton Center provided a home for five year. The church met in the town council chambers, while the kids church met upstairs. These were fun years in this historic building with lots of children in tow.

Shotwell station

In 2009, we moved to Shotwell Station, below the Clayton water tower, changing our name to LIFE Community Church, as an independent, Spirit-filled church. Our longing for connection and a new affiliation with Vineyard USA, has led to our new name Clayton Vineyard Church. While this has been a long journey, when we came to know Vineyard, we once again like we were coming home. This international community of churches makes a priority of the WORD of GOD and worship and believes that everyone is called to ministry.  We hope that you will join us. Here you will find "everyone gets to play."
